I run a successful dog walking business in Welwyn, and I am looking for a site to run doggy daycare. I am looking for a large field with shelter during the winter month preferably with water and electricity. It will need road access and be well fenced. (I am happy to improve the fencing). The doggy daycare involves me bringing dogs to the site in the morning and keeping them entertained during the day until I take them home to their owners at around 5pm. We would setup agility courses, paddling pools, and provide training during the day. The dogs we accept for day care are all well socialized and friendly dogs. I understand people’s first thoughts are dog mess and noise however doggy day care is very tightly regulated business. Dog mess will be cleaned up straight away and disposed of appropriately. As for noise, the dogs are always supervised and kept entertained so unlike kennels there would be very little noise. Any nuisance dogs that constantly bark will not be allowed back. We are looking for an appropriate site long term and can potential pay a much higher rent than if a field was used for grazing. So if you have a spare field please get in touch.
