Wanted: 1–2 acres for regenerative smallholding (South Hampshire) We're a couple based in Portsmouth (PO4) looking for 1–2 acres to rent within easy reach of the Meon Valley, Hambledon, Denmead, Soberton, or Titchfield area. We want to grow fruit and vegetables using regenerative, no-dig methods, and keep a small number of animals (ducks to start, with goats or pigs further down the line) as part of a balanced, soil-building system. Eventually, we would love to provide fruit and veg boxes to the local community. We're not looking for pristine land — in fact, we'd love to hear from you if you have a paddock resting between horses, a forgotten corner of a larger farm, or an old smallholding that's gone a bit wild. Depleted or neglected ground is exactly the kind of challenge we enjoy, and we'd be restoring it, not just using it. A bit about us: we're both freelancers with stable income, we've been growing successfully (using hugelkultur methods) in our small urban garden, and we're looking for a genuine long-term relationship with a landowner — not a quick in-and-out arrangement. We're open to informal or formal agreements, whatever suits you best, and happy to meet, talk things through, and view any time.
