Description

I'm looking for a site within driving distance of Guildford for a few people to take part in occasional amateur radio contests. Ideally, the field would be on top of a hill or somewhere that isn't behind any big hills or surrounded by trees, for optimum reception! In contests, we try and make as many contacts as we can across the country and internationally over radio. We usually bring along some antennas and equipment mounted on poles which are simply guyed down and our radios run on battery power. We would usually put up a tent for shelter. Unusual, but little is needed! Bonus points if we can put out a barbecue or light a fire, but it's not necessary.
