Description

Hi Everyone, So, I am looking to arrange a stag weekend. Most of us are very keen wild campers and would like to be able to have a field, or preferably some woodland to camp in for two nights. We are have stayed in some very remote places over the years and although we would like to do the same again, most remote place tend to be in Wales or the north of the country. A few of us have babies on the way so want to try and keep relatively close to home. I have drawn a blank trying to find off grid/remote places to camp in the south of the country (excluding cornwall etc) and I am really hoping that this may be the best option if anyone has something they can offer. Things that would be a bonus: Woodland - Ideally I would prefer a good bit of woodland where we can set up camp. If a field is bordered by a small woodland area that would be ok. Campfires - Ideally we would like to have a camp fire. A place where we can make a bit of noise - Baring in mind we are all early to mid thirties and as much as we would all like to believe we could if wanted to, I very much doubt any 'noise' would excess much past midnight, at most 2am. There will be not soundsystems or anything of that kind, just usual camp noise of talking and having fun etc. Most 'remote' or 'wild camp' sites that are on offer are merely just commercial campsite with little to no ammenities, meaning we could be within feet of other people camping. I am therefore aware that while we arent noisy people by any stretch of the imagination, having a group of guys sat around a campfire till late into the night may be a bit of an annoyance to someone trying to have a more peaceful 'wild' camping experience. Dates: The groom gets married in the first week of June. So preferably end of April early May would be the best option.
