Hello, My partner and I are looking for some land to rent later in the year. I work for Dyson and he is a self-employed builder. We have recently got engaged are trying to save up for our future! Therefore we are going to move out of our 4 bedroom house in Dursley (gulp) and into our motorhome to save on rent for a while. The plan is to get some money together for our wedding, honeymoon, to buy a house or our own land to build one on ourselves and who knows... maybe for kids! We are looking to do some serious saving over a year or so to get ourselves on the right track. Our motorhome cost £15,000 and we are currently doing it up in our workshop. Think more George Clarke’s Amazing Spaces than dank and dated caravan. We have made the vehicle off-grid so can we be completely self-sufficient too. We do have a little dog, Beans. He is a Boston terrier and would live with us. He has grown up in the countryside, so is wise to livestock. Loves cats and chickens – they don’t run away from him, he’s very docile! He doesn’t bark and is no problem at all. He would be kept in van and on a lead regardless. Do you have any land, or know anyone else who does, that would be up for it? As I said my partner is a builder, he has been trading for 20+ years and we would ensure the land was perfectly maintained. He is a qualified tree surgeon and dry stone waller too (trained by Prince's Trust in Devon), so if you wanted anything done to the land he can help. We used to live in a large house in Old Sodbury where we had a 5 acre garden. We are more than used to keeping land looking great - and enjoy doing it. All we would ask is that we could put up a small temporary shed (if there isn't one there already that we could rent) for some extra storage for tools.
