I am looking for a field for a Christmas present to my ageing wife. She takes immense enjoyment from our two Border Terriers (Frank & Ethel) but one of them is fear aggressive and while he is utterly brilliant with people and children he lunges, snarls and barks at other dogs. It has become an immense emotional strain for her to take them anywhere and she is getting increasingly anxious every time she goes for a walk because she spends hours trying to think of places where they won't come in to contact with other dogs. It is affecting her mental health and I am worried about her. Frank has never been off lead, well he was once but he ran after sheep on the fells but fortunately we found him even though it was miles away, so since then he's never been off lead which means when he's lunging she has to control him as well as Ethel who reacts to his barking. The other day she was very distressed as someone shouted "here comes the killer borders" - she came home sobbing. It would be brilliant if she could have a field where he could be let off lead to run around and play and not come in to contact with other dogs. We are both scrupulously clean in terms of clearing up after them so the field would always be maintained to the standards you'd want - we would take it as a measure of trust that in letting us rent a field to avert her anxiety and give her great joy, we would be loyal and take good care of it for you.
