Description

Releasing Potential is a charity and independent school for disadvantaged children and children with SEN, and we are based in both Havant and Chichester in Hampshire. We are looking TO RENT a suitable place to develop a care farm, to engage our own students with the natural environment, deliver Animal Assisted Interventions, accommodate external school visits and provide a venue for external groups to deliver Animal Assisted Therapy. The ideal place would have 3 to 4 small paddocks with fencing already in place or potential to put in (~ 1 acre each), a barn and/or large animal shelter already there, and mains electricity/water to the site. If there is a stables nearby we could also potentially use ponies or horses to engage people with SEN too, though this is not essential to have on site, just a bonus. Currently we have 6 alpacas but will be expanding to have goats, pigs, a small animal unit, maybe even facilities to produce products from the animals such as cheese, and further into the future maybe even a small reptile house. We are keen to hear any offers or suggestions, from someone who will share our passion for developing this care farm and helping vulnerable and disadvantaged people.
