Autumn is well and truly upon us and, here at Field Lover, we're loving watching the change of seasons.

Dearly beloved, we are gathered here

Here in the office, we do love a happy ending (who doesn't??), so we thought we'd share news of this wonderful wedding that took place in June this year. While we haven't diversified into matchmaking people yet - though, who knows, never say never - we can at least say that this is a fabulous example of how fields are being used for all kinds of activities, and how Field Lover could help you do the same.

Jon and Sarah knew that they wanted a wedding in the countryside, with as much of it being outdoors as possible. The bride travelled by tractor to the beautiful 12th century church in Takeley, Essex for the wedding ceremony, before the newlyweds then led their guests on to the reception venue...a spectacular marquee on a nearby arable farm.

"The field, farm and surroundings were absolutely perfect for what we had in mind," said the proud groom, Jon. "With 160 guests, an on-site chef and kitchen, plus a hog roast in the evening, we wanted to strike a balance between the practical and aesthetic needs."

Huge congratulations to the new Mr and Mrs Tann from all of us at Field Lover! If this tale has inspired you to think about something similar for your nuptials, then do have a look at the 'fields for rent' on our website - and keep us posted!
