Puzzle wood is a lovely SSSI Ancient Woodland is in Eakring, Mansfield down a long but easily accessible bridleway which has Dukes Wood Nature Reserve across the road. As part of a larger woodland, it's the very last woodland plot on its side of the bridleway with a seasonal stream running alongside it. It also has stunning field views on 2 sides and woodland views over the neighbouring plot. It's a lovely, calming space to relax or run around in.

In the summer it is filled with birdsong, bluebells and wood anemones, which are Ancient Woodland indicator species. Puzzle wood is an Ancient Woodland meaning it has been woodland since 1600! That's not to say the trees are that old because it used to be traditionally managed by coppicing. So many of the trees have multiple stems and lots of holes in them- many people think they belong to fairies! It is also a SSSI which means it is a Site of Special Scientific Interest which makes it even more special.

Puzzle wood is just over 1 acre but as there is lots of woodland surrounding you it feels a lot bigger. There is also the option to hire an adjoining 1 acre to make the size 2.4 acres, please contact me to discuss availability. There are so many things you can do in the woodland, from playing hide and seek in the trees to meditation, den building, practicing bushcraft, bird watching or even forest school. There are endless ways to spend a half or full day in your own private woods.

The site is not completely fenced, this is done to allow wildlife to continue to access the woodland.

Please note due to the restrictions of being a SSSI we do not allow:
- Fires of any kind
- Cutting down of live trees (trees that have already fallen are ok to use)
- Hunting
- Metal detecting
- Overnight stays
